It was very foggy this morning and I was in two minds about going for a walk. When I got to the top of the mountain though, I saw something that is not really anything very special, but it made me glad I was out and able to spot it before it vanished:
Am I getting sentimental, or is that a bit of wonder?
While I am being soppy, here's some pictures of yesterday evening at my mum's place - the light, Mr Kurtz, the light, to wilfully misquote Conrad:
Ohh, referencing Fotherington-Thomas and Mr Heart-Of-Darkness Kurtz in the same breath - that's the sort of thing that would have appealed to my father! You live near a mountain? It all looks rather delightful.
ReplyDeleteIt's only a tiny mountain. Although it feels quite big enough by the time you get to the top
Delete[sigh] I want a mountain, too. [chin on fists]
ReplyDeleteIt beats that 5 am treadmill of yours, I think.
Deletethe light is indeed lovely
ReplyDeleteBut the spider's web, I noticed this morning, is no more - ah, the ephemeral nature of all things (but especially light and spiders' webs)
DeleteIt sure does. But it has an incline...Ah, who am I kidding? (Did you know the "reply" to your replies doesn't work?)
