Our telephone hasn't been working properly. As I can't make outgoing calls on it and do not want to waste time and money using my mobile telephone to ring, I sent the internet company that provides the telephone an email, explaining what the problem was. They replied to me today, suggesting I call them. Their analysis of the situation was as follows:
"With this issue, the problem could lie somewhere."
You can't argue with that, I suppose. It was only wild optimism that led me to expect anything more.
I'm guessing that the tech became distracted and failed to tack on a prepositional phrase: "in the frobbinator widget" or "between the frobbinator widget and the widginating converter." Or maybe "somewhere" was supposed to have read "anywhere".
ReplyDelete'over the rainbow' was the phrase I think he forgot, George.
