Yes, we did, thanks for asking.
It was actually today that we went, rather on the spur of the moment. I had finally completed the rigmarole that follows the purchase of a car in Belgium - which includes having to get a handmade numberplate, because the government only supplies one of the pair you need - and so, when we woke up and saw that the weather was beautiful, we decided to use the opportunity of sunshine and our very own vehicle to head out of town.
In Antwerp we saw lots of lovely and intersting things, and I've loaded the pictures I took onto instagram. They can be found here.
What sort of constraints are there on the second plate? It can imagine it making an interesting sub-site of Etsy.
ReplyDeleteYou have a fine entrepreneurial mind
DeleteIndeed I was thinking this afternoon (before I saw your latest post) that your daughter could probably do a very handsome license plate.
DeleteThe design ability is definitely there but the metalworking skills may be lacking
DeleteAntwerp has been on my list for some time. After seeing your photos, I shall make sure that I do something about it.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you let me know if you do and I'll jump in the car and come down to have a cup of coffee with you, along with some inevitable chips
DeleteWill do.
