Worrying Signs II

I've had a bash at learning several languages. Subsequently, I have forgotten almost every one of the foreign words I crammed into my head. Disturbingly though, there is one noun in all of them that I never forget. It is 'disappointment'. I have no idea why.

  3. I can usually ask for directions to the toilets. Maybe it's an age thing.

  4. Speaking of age things, I still know how to ask the teacher if I can fill my pen in French.

  5. I still know "There are many things in my pencil case" in French. But that's about it. Sad.

  6. For French, I have 'autant qu'on puisse en savoir', which can be slipped in on almost any occasion.

  7. The only phrase I remember from my two adolescent years of being taught French is "Vous avez fait un flaque d'eau": "You have made a puddle of water". Isn't that bizarre?
